The Problem We're Solving
International-school students grow up in an increasingly international financial world. They may earn, spend and save in different currencies, hold assets across more than one country, and eventually study, work and retire somewhere entirely different from where they went to school.
Yet most financial education, where it exists at all, is built around a single national curriculum, a single currency, and a single, static idea of what a "normal" financial life looks like. It rarely reflects the reality of a student who has already lived in two or three countries before the age of twelve.
The International Money Academy was built to close that gap. Every book in the series follows the same four students across genuinely different currencies, financial systems and cultural approaches to money, so that the lessons students take away actually reflect the world they're growing up in, not a single classroom in a single country.
What Schools Receive
The Novel Series
All five books in the International Money Academy series — The Asia Currency Challenge, The Asia Saving Challenge, The Asia Investment Challenge, The Entrepreneur Challenge, and The Leadership & Legacy Challenge — following one continuous story and one consistent group of characters from currency basics through to leadership and legacy.
Student Workbooks
Five companion workbooks, one per novel, each turning the story into hands-on practice using the exact numbers, budgets and decisions the characters face. Every workbook is self-contained, with a Big Question, a worked example, and an activity for every unit.
Teacher Resources
Guidance notes for using each book and workbook in a classroom setting, including how each unit connects to real financial concepts, suggested discussion points, and notes on where each activity can stand alone or extend into a fuller lesson.
Lesson Plans
Structured lesson plans mapped to each book's core financial concepts, designed to slot into an existing curriculum slot — whether that's a dedicated financial literacy unit, a PSHE or life-skills programme, or a cross-curricular maths and English link.
Classroom Activities
Group activities and discussion exercises that extend beyond individual workbook completion, designed for pair and small-group work, including several drawn directly from the novels' own decision points, reframed as classroom debates and simulations.
Parent Resources
A short guide for parents explaining what their child is learning at each stage of the series, with simple suggestions for extending the conversation at home, without requiring parents to have any particular financial background themselves.
Academy Support
Direct access to the International Money Academy team for onboarding, curriculum questions, and ongoing support as your school integrates the programme, including priority input into future books and resources as the series continues.
Become a Founding School
We are currently inviting a limited number of international schools across Southeast Asia to participate in the initial International Money Academy pilot.
Founding schools will help shape how this programme develops, with direct input into future workbooks, lesson plans and classroom resources, priority access to new material as it's released, and recognition as a founding partner of the Academy.
This is a genuinely limited invitation. We are working closely with a small number of schools in this first phase, rather than opening the programme broadly, so that we can build something that actually works in a real classroom before expanding further.
